Dog Vaccinations

The yearly dog vaccination is called the C5, and it protects your dog against parvovirus, canine hepatitis, distemper and 2 strains of canine cough. Puppies require 3 vaccinations, the first being at 6-8 weeks, second at 12-14 weeks and the third at 16 weeks of age, then yearly for life. Until your puppy has had all three vaccinations it should not be walked on the street or socialised with any other dogs if you don’t know their vaccination history.

Trienniel (3 yearly) core vaccination with Distemper/Hepatitis/Parvovirus and annual Canine Cough vaccine may also be suitable for your dog and can be discussed with the vet.

Cat Vaccinations

The yearly cat vaccination is called the F3, it protects your cat against Feline Enteritis and Feline Respiratory disease complex, otherwise known as Cat Flu. In Kittens the vaccinations are given at 6-8 weeks, 12-14 weeks and 16 weeks of age, then every year for life. High risk cats may also be vaccinated against Feline Immunodeficiency Virus and include outdoor cats that are prone to getting into fights.
